We love poor sportsmanship

As a child who played sports, I was always told that poor sportsmanship was bad. We were never suppose to boast or brag, or flaunt a win. We always shook the other team's hand, and never argued with the coach or other players. Well that was elementary. Since I've gotten older, I have experienced more situations where I was exposed to poor sportsmanship, whether I was watching it, or apart of it. And the truth is, I love it, and I know that I'm not the only person who agrees with. People love fights or disagreements. We thrive for them. That's why hockey games are so loved. People don't go for the mere pleasure of watching guys skate around on ice, they go for the enjoyment of watching individuals get slaughtered against glass wall, and players constantly challenging each other to a fight. Minus the slaughtering against glass walls, the players challenging fights is a common thing that occurs with team sports.

Though I've seen many, I myself have never actually been involved in a real physical fight. Sure there have been times during a game where I'll have a catty interaction with another girl, but never have either of us taken to the point where punches were being thrown. Yet, there has always been the crave for her to unexpectedly hit me. Just because, how cool would that be to say that you got in a fight. The thing is, I have no idea how I would react. To retaliate would make me look bad, but like a bad ass at the same time, and these days, who honestly doesn't want to look like a bad ass?

Overall, my point is, if it weren't for those short tempered, cocky, arrogant players that always seem to show up in sports, the whole thrill of sports just wouldn't be the same. We love fights.
